Today we will begin the book I Am Malala.  We will listen to the book, follow along, and answer the comprehension questions in complete sentences.

shalwar kamiz (noun)--traditional outfit of loose tunic (kamiz) and trousers (shalwar) worn by

chapati (noun)--unleavened flat bread made from flour and water
dyna (noun)--an open-backed van or truck
mosque (noun)--a building in which Muslims worship
fateful (adjective)--having an important, especially bad, effect on future events
gnawing (adjective)--worrying or painful, especially for a long time
